Although often referred to simply as Rosemary Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis), this oil is not a carrier oil. It is an essential oil meaning that it has been extracted often using the "Steam distillation" method. This extracts all the goodness from the plant also known as the "essence" making it "essen...tial.
Now when it comes to Rosemary, many of you might recognise it as a herb from your kitchen cupboard best used on lamb... mmmmm...yummy. Main Benefits of Rosemary:
Similar to Peppermint Oil, Rosemary oil can help with blood circulation which prevents hair follicles from being starved of blood supply, dying off, and leading to hair loss. It also helps improve nerve and hair growth .
Additionally, for hair, its anti inflammatory properties help with alopecia and scalp itchiness. It has also been known to prevent premature greying and dandruff.
For you skin, Rosemary oil is a great cleanser and detoxing agent as it expels all the toxins from your skin and in turn, improves complexion and stimulates healing.
